Background

Diego Renza, an Electronic Engineer by profession and passionate about research, has dedicated his working life to both the public sector and academia, where he is a professor and researcher at the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada.

With teaching experience and expertise in areas such as deep learning, signal and image processing and remote sensing, Dr. Renza has participated in the training of several generations of telecommunications engineers, instilling in them not only the fundamental principles of the discipline, but also the passion for research and the search for innovative solutions to the challenges of today's world. His research work has been reflected in publications in scientific journals and presentations at national and international conferences.

Diego Renza received the M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from National University of Colombia in 2010 and PhD degree in 2015, from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain.

From 2002 to 2007 he was an IT Support Engineer in Corporación Autónoma Regional Del Alto Magdalena and Gobernación del Huila, focusing in servers, databases, and web development.
